Case Study: Children of the Dawn

The support and mentorship programs provided by Children of the Dawn are aimed at producing responsible productive citizens who will make a positive contribution to society.

A double orphan female named Morongoa entered our programme in 2002, at age 9. She hails from the impoverished rural community of Mathabatha, Limpopo. She has been been benefiting from our support programme (material, emotional, and educational) since 2002.

She passed her Matric in 2010 but decided she wanted to increase her mark in Maths and therefore repeated her Matric in 2011. She achieved great results and is now enrolled in an FET college in Mokopane on a bursary obtained through the help of Children of the Dawn. She is the first in her family to go past grade 10 and let alone be enrolled in a college.

She is hoping to get employed after her studies and uplift her family and community.
